Fly Dominican Republic is a website created by Pilots in the Dominican Republic to provide information for general aviation pilots all over the world.

A little bit of history:

Since the Dominican 500 Fly In, celebrated in 1992, with the United States West Indies Flyers, 500 planes flew from Florida to the old airport of Santiago and to different parts of the country.

Fly Ins from the United States, Puerto Rico and other  parts of the world were common but privately coordinated between frindley pilot communities.

Since 2007,  in a joined private and gobernment efforts new laws have been put in place to facilitate general aviation flying to the DR.  The result of that laws is the active participation of Dominican officials and different individuals in different events in the US and Europe to promote these new policys.

FlyDominicanRepublic is part of this efforts to increase, inform and welcome general aviation to the Dominican Republic.
