Santo Domingo (Listín Diario). The Minister of the Presidency, Gustavo Montalvo, indicated this Thursday that during the weekend they will be receiving a first batch of 50,000 hydroxychloroquine treatments to fight the coronavirus (covid-19) in the country.
“Hydroxychloroquine is a medicine with potential to improve the situation of many affected,” Montalvo said during a message broadcast through state platforms.
According to the Minister of the Presidency, that first batch will be available to the population, starting next Monday.
Montalvo also stressed that a medication treatment guide was approved, which establishes the appropriate action protocols for the administration, by health professionals, of those medicines that have shown their effectiveness.
“With the guide: it is established in which cases they should be applied, how they are combined and what doses are appropriate in each situation,” added the minister of the presidency.
