A 100 Years of Aviation Airshow

On the 26 and 27 of March, 2011. The Dominican Republic will celebrate a hundred years of aviation. in Santo Domingo.

The Dominican people will rejoice from a 2 day Air show in “El Malecon” and it will combine local and international air show performers accompanied by a fireworks, music and sound show.

Among the performers will be Fred Cabanas Aerobatics, Rob Holland Ultimate Airshows, Skip Stewart Airshows, Jack Knutson Aerobatic, Greg Shelton Airshows, Iron Eagles Aerobatics, Team Aerostar, Lima Lima Flight Team, Firebirds Extreme y Matt Younkin Airshows.

Also present will be the North American F-15 Strike Eagle Demonstration Team, The USAF Reserve A-10 Thunderbolts, a C-130 Hércules and a UH-60 Black Hawk from the Air National Guard and Coast Guards in Puerto Rico which will perform a live rescue mission.

The Local Dominican Air Force Team will be also present with Huey Helicopters, Pillan Aircrafts, CASA Transport planes OH58 and Robinson helicopters and the Dominican Super Tucanos.

This will be a 2 day Air Show extravaganza not recommended for people with heart problems, said Arístides Fernández Zucco, Director of the Dominican Airports Department in a press conference presenting the event to the Dominican people.
