5th International Exhibition of General Aviation
Cannes, June 29, 2011 – The Cannes Airshow finished up on Saturday, June 11, having achieved notable results:
– Nearly 8000 visitors
– 1000 movements in 3 days
– 120 aircraft exposed
– 150 exhibitors and 300 brands represented
In addition to the figures above, record aircraft sales were also announced and included:
TECNAM, who signed a sales contract during the exhibition for 23 aircraft in its class (P2006, P2008, P2010),
CIRRUS, who also sold three aircraft including two SR22 X, which is even more significant since only 10 units are planned for the entire planet,
HAWKER BEECHCRAFT also announced the signature of its latest BONANZA 36 G1000 and very serious contacts for the entire range of aircraft that were presented (C90 GTX, PREMIER IA, BARON),
EMBRAER had also come with its Phenom 100 and 300 and made several contacts that the manufacturer qualified as very serious for the two aircraft that were presented as well as the LEGACY 500 for which the mock up remained several days after the Cannes Airshow.
PILATUS, PIAGGIO AERO and CESSNA all announced having made excellent contacts in addition to their desire to return next year. CESSNA AIRCRAFT COMPANY has already reserved its stand for the 2012 edition that will take place on the 7, 8 and 9 of June, 2012.
