The E-Volo, realizes a first victory flight for German engineers as they successfully completed the first manned flight of an electric multicopter. The human death trap multicopter uses multiple mini helicopters to lift the passenger upwards — who’s snuggled in the center of the halo, firmly strapped to a squishy exercise ball. Like an UAV, the hovering device is controlled via radio control from the ground or Pilot. The passenger was able to hold on for one minute and 30-second of flight victory.

IN MEMORIAM

Franklin Polanco Sr.

The website is dedicated to the memory of Franklin Polanco Sr. My father, pilot, communicator, aviation promoter, mentor, and friend to countless aviators around the world.

Throughout his life, Franklin became one of the Dominican Republic’s strongest advocates for general aviation. Whether helping international pilots plan Caribbean adventures, supporting aviation organizations, mentoring young aviators, or promoting Dominican aviation abroad, he believed aviation was ultimately about people.

His influence reached far beyond the cockpit.

His work earned recognition from the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC), which honored him by naming the main auditorium of the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences (ASCA) after him, recognizing his extraordinary contribution to Dominican aviation.
