The Dominican Republic Delegation is getting ready for visiting Sun n’Fun 2010 in Lakeland, Florida. The Event is called the start of the aviation year in the United States.

The Dominican Delegation is conformed of parties from:

www.flydominicanicanrepublic.com, the IDAC ( Civil Aviation Department), the DA ( Airport Department), Local Press Media and the Dominican Naval Auxiliaries, and the Dominican Tourism departmento among other.

Dominican Republic will have his stand in the event, which will be ready to give information about airports, hotels, regulations, FEE-FREE policies and other goodies like tshirts and cigars.

IN MEMORIAM

Franklin Polanco Sr.

The website is dedicated to the memory of Franklin Polanco Sr. My father, pilot, communicator, aviation promoter, mentor, and friend to countless aviators around the world.

Throughout his life, Franklin became one of the Dominican Republic’s strongest advocates for general aviation. Whether helping international pilots plan Caribbean adventures, supporting aviation organizations, mentoring young aviators, or promoting Dominican aviation abroad, he believed aviation was ultimately about people.

His influence reached far beyond the cockpit.

His work earned recognition from the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC), which honored him by naming the main auditorium of the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences (ASCA) after him, recognizing his extraordinary contribution to Dominican aviation.
