February 27, Santo Domingo.
Naval Auxiliaries Vessels ( White Ships ) where manouvering along with the Navy Ships in the Independence Day Parade. Also Super Tucanos, Caza and other aircraft were making low passes in front of the Dominican People present in the George Washington Av. where ground forces where parading also.

Los Auxiliares Navales ( Barcos blancos) realizando maniobras junto a los navios de la marina Dominicana en el desfile militar del 27 de febrero, Día de la Independencia Dominicana. También aviones Tucano, Caza entre otras aeronaves hicieron pases razantes frente a la avenida George Washington donde las fuerzas terrestres tambien desfilaban al pueblo Dominicano.

Franklin Polanco Sr.

The website is dedicated to the memory of Franklin Polanco Sr. My father, pilot, communicator, aviation promoter, mentor, and friend to countless aviators around the world.

Throughout his life, Franklin became one of the Dominican Republic’s strongest advocates for general aviation. Whether helping international pilots plan Caribbean adventures, supporting aviation organizations, mentoring young aviators, or promoting Dominican aviation abroad, he believed aviation was ultimately about people.

His influence reached far beyond the cockpit.

His work earned recognition from the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC), which honored him by naming the main auditorium of the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences (ASCA) after him, recognizing his extraordinary contribution to Dominican aviation.
